New Teammates!

So, it's been an interesting couple of weeks!  We had 2 more members that left the team due to different reasons and had to scramble to reorganize and recruit new runners.  Luckily, we found a few new runners over the course of the week - and we're good to go again!  T-Minus 2 weeks till go time!

Catching up!

It's been a while, but we've been busy!  We've had a member drop from the team due to injury and another added.  We've also discovered that the running distances were all modified after we had assigned our runners, so we've reshuffled the deck.  Vests and blinking lights are ordered and have arrived, and our awesome t-shirts are being designed as I type!  Only 6 more weeks until we RAGNAR ON!

Locked and Loaded!

The team assignments have been made... we are locked and loaded!  Time to rock & roll mateys!

Step by step we're working though the steps of getting everyone signed up and registered for our Ragnar... Runner assignments will be determined this weekend!  Then the fun of finding our three ever-friendly and helpful team volunteers begins.  If you're interested in being one of our team volunteers, let us know!! :)

HAULIN' MAST!

AKA - ADK Pirates on the Run!  (Arrgh we there yet?)

After many name suggestions and a team vote, we have settled on being the Pirates of the Adirondacks for our adventure of the Ragnar Relay.  While this really doesn't directly relate to anything, it will be a FUN theme for us to tackle!  Stay tuned as we develop the team and all the shenanigans that will accompany our theme!  :)

It's OFFICIAL!!

We officially (finally) have a team for the Ragnar - 6 Males and 6 Females - and it appears we even have a waiting list with a few subs waiting in the wings in the event that a team member develops an injury during training... but let's hope that doesn't happen! Watch out ADK - a new team is rolling into town!

Our team name selection will be made public with the official registration of the team on Monday, May 7th!

Team Update...

One week after declaring the official start of the assembly of our team, we have lost a few members and gained a few more - we are now officially up to 11 on the team, and waiting on a commitment for our last female runner spot!  We also are starting to circle around a team name and theme - but more on that later - we wouldn't want to give it away before it's been registered!  Also, a little suspense never killed anybody - right??

At the start of this endeavor, I thought it would be difficult to find runners for the longer distance slots, but we actually already have volunteers for the most difficult segments!  Over the next few weeks, hopefully we'll be all signed up and the running legs assigned to the team.  Then the real training will begin!

Welcome to our team's website, we are still working on finalizing our team roster, but have 10 members signed on to run the ADK Ragnar Run... as soon as we have the other 2 team members secured, and a team name agreed upon, we will be updating and posting to this blog as we prepare to embark on the journey from Saratoga to Lake Placid on September 28th and 29th!
